Background & Experience:

As a first-generation immigrant in Canada originally from Pakistan, I have experienced the challenges and rewards of adapting to various cultures firsthand. Having lived in many different countries, I have developed a deep understanding of diverse ideologies, belief systems, cultures, and worldviews.

My journey has made me acutely aware of the stereotypes and biases that exist, particularly within Southeast Asian communities, regarding mental health. These cultural misunderstandings can create significant pain points for individuals, leading to feelings of isolation, shame, and confusion about seeking help.

Motivated by a desire to break down these barriers, I have dedicated myself to providing culturally sensitive, comprehensive, and strength-based therapeutic interventions. My approach focuses on creating a safe and non-judgmental space where clients feel comfortable discussing their concerns openly.

Together, we will embark on a therapeutic journey that, while challenging at times, holds the promise of healing and self-discovery. I am committed to offering consistent support and guidance at every stage, equipping you with the tools and skills needed to navigate your path to well-being. My goal is to help you feel understood and empowered, fostering a sense of belonging and resilience.
