Registered Occupational Therapist & Psychotherapist
Kerry Parrett
HBA., MscOT.
You might be feeling stretched thin, trying to keep up at work or at home, or navigating a major life shift, while your emotions feel more on the surface than usual. Maybe you’re functioning on the outside, but inside things feel intense, unpredictable, or exhausting. If that sounds familiar, you’re not alone, and you don’t have to sort through it by yourself.
I’m a Registered Occupational Therapist and Psychotherapist, providing virtual therapy across Ontario and some in-person therapy in Toronto. I support people navigating perinatal mental health concerns, workplace stress, burnout, and life transitions, especially when emotions feel overwhelming or hard to manage. My work focuses on helping you slow things down, understand what’s happening in your nervous system, and build practical skills you can actually use in daily life.
Sessions are steady, collaborative, and skill-focused. We look at what’s getting in the way, such as patterns, reactions, or habits that no longer serve you, while also recognizing the strengths and resilience that have carried you this far. I often draw from DBT-informed skills, translated into clear, usable tools for distress tolerance, emotional regulation, and day-to-day coping.
My background in occupational therapy means we keep therapy grounded in real life. We focus not just on insight, but on helping you get back to doing the things you need and want to do, at work, in relationships, and in caring for yourself. You’re the expert on your own experience. My role is to walk alongside you, offer structure and support, and help you find approaches that fit your life.
