Family Mediation
Family mediation is a voluntary, confidential, and collaborative process that helps families work through conflict with the support of a neutral third party. It offers a structured, respectful space to communicate clearly, explore options, and make important decisions together without going to court.
Whether you’re navigating separation, parenting arrangements, financial and property matters, or communication challenges, mediation focuses on reducing conflict, improving understanding, and creating practical, child-centred agreements. Giulia’s approach supports parents, couples, and families in making decisions that feel fair, sustainable, and grounded in the well-being of everyone involved.
Many families choose mediation because it is significantly more cost-effective than resolving matters through traditional legal channels. Once you reach an agreement in mediation, the document can be notarized to make it official. This option is typically far more affordable than having lawyers draft or negotiate the agreement, while still giving you a legally recognized outcome that reflects the decisions you made together.

Please note:
The mediator’s role is to remain completely impartial. Their job is to guide conversations, support clear communication, and help both parties explore options, but they do not take sides, provide legal advice, or make decisions on your behalf. Because mediation is a collaborative process, each person is encouraged to seek independent legal advice before, during, and after the mediation process to ensure they fully understand their rights and responsibilities.

Giulia Papa (BA, LLB)
I specialize in Family Mediation, helping clients create clear, workable separation agreements and parenting plans. I also provide Voice of the Child Reports for families who want their child’s perspective included in a safe, developmentally appropriate way.
Many people come to mediation feeling overwhelmed, unsure where to begin, or worried that important conversations will turn into conflict. My role is to offer steady, neutral support so you don’t have to navigate these decisions alone. I help you talk through the practical and emotional pieces of separation in a way that feels respectful, structured, and manageable.
Rather than taking sides or pushing a particular outcome, I guide both parties in having productive conversations and exploring options that truly fit their family. The process is collaborative and non-adversarial, giving you the space to make informed decisions at your own pace.
Clients often leave mediation with more clarity, confidence, and a greater sense of control. Together, we work toward agreements that are realistic, balanced, and aligned with your values, supporting the long-term well-being of everyone involved.
