Clinical Supervision

Are you working toward your clinical supervision hours, seeking an external practicum supervisor, seeking professional development, or looking to deepen your clinical practice? Whether you're a Qualifying or Registered Psychotherapist (CRPO), a Registered Social Worker or Social Service Worker (OCSWSSW), or another mental health professional, clinical supervision is a valuable tool for growth, reflection, and ethical practice.

At Cambrian Counselling and Wellness, we have experienced and dedicated clinical supervisors who offer structured yet flexible supervision to mental health professionals at various stages of their careers.

Our Clinical Supervision hours are recognized by: BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC), Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA), College of Counselling Therapy of Prince Edward Island (CCTPEI), College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), and Ontario Association of Mental Health Professionals (OAMHP).

You may be:

✔ A new therapist or practicum student navigating your first client caseload.

✔ A registered professional looking for ongoing consultation and professional development.

✔ A seasoned clinician seeking deeper self-awareness, fresh perspectives, or ethical consultation.

Supervision is not just about meeting requirements—it’s about enhancing your skills, preventing burnout, and ensuring the best possible care for your clients. It’s a space for professional reflection, case discussion, and continuous learning, grounded in attachment-based, trauma-informed, and relational approaches.

How we do Clinical Supervision Different

Clinical Supervision: A Different Kind of Support

Most supervision models give you one supervisor and a set of hours. We take a broader, more integrated approach that reflects the realities of clinical practice, the complexity of client work, and the type of professional support therapists genuinely need to grow.

Instead of working with a single supervisor, you are supported by a small team of experienced clinicians with diverse training backgrounds. This means:

You are never left without support if someone is away or unavailable.

You benefit from multiple perspectives on case formulation and ethical decision-making.

You are exposed to a range of therapeutic orientations as you develop your style and clinical voice.

A Multi-Supervisor Team, Built Around You

Every supervision session follows a consistent, intentional structure that helps you grow with purpose. This includes:

  • A pre-session form that encourages reflection, case planning, ethical awareness, and self-assessment.
  • Regular monitoring of burnout, compassion fatigue, and vicarious trauma using validated tools.
  • Clear goals, ongoing feedback, and supportive space to refine your approach.

You are encouraged to think deeply, ask questions, challenge ideas, and strengthen your clinical reasoning.

Structured, Thoughtful, and Clinically Grounded

You gain practical learning that translates directly into your work with clients:

  • Review of raw data such as notes or recordings.
  • Support with complex cases and crisis situations.
  • Guidance on documentation and regulatory requirements.
  • Ethical consultation that builds confidence and professional autonomy.

We invest in your development as a whole clinician, not just in the tally of your hours.

Michele Brooks-Reynolds, MBA, BSW, MSW, RSW (Clinical Supervisor)

Michele Brooks-Reynolds is an experienced psychotherapist, clinical supervisor, and trainer with over 20 years of experience in frontline and leadership roles in hospital psychiatry, community mental health, and private practice. She is known for her steady presence, practical clinical wisdom, and her ability to help both clients and clinicians navigate complex situations with clarity and confidence.

Michele brings a strong blend of clinical expertise, organizational leadership, and real-world mental health experience. She has spent much of her career at Brightshores Health System (formerly Grey Bruce Health Services) in Mental Health Crisis Services, where she provides clinical supervision, team leadership, and program development across ten rural hospital sites. Her work has included restructuring crisis services, leading violence-prevention initiatives, developing risk assessment tools, and supporting staff through high-stakes, high-pressure environments.

Alongside her hospital work, Michele has built a robust private practice career. She founded Cedar Cottage Counselling Group, grew it to include additional therapists, and oversaw operations, program design, and business development before selling the practice in 2025. She has also served as a general manager and business developer for Riverstone Psychiatric Centre, helping launch the region’s first TMS clinic.

Michele has trained thousands of professionals across healthcare, police services, social services, and mental health agencies. Her workshops focus on Trauma-Informed Practice, Risk Assessment, De-escalation, Conflict Resolution, Crisis Assessment, and mental health literacy for both clinical and non-clinical staff. She is recognized for teaching in a way that feels accessible, grounded, and directly applicable to day-to-day practice.

Cierra Garrow - BA., MACP., RP., RMFT., EFT-C (Clinical Supervisor)

Cierra Garrow is a Registered Psychotherapist and Marriage and Family Therapist who brings together years of clinical work, teaching, and supervision to support the next generation of mental health professionals. She offers clinical supervision and consultation for therapists, social workers, and mental health practitioners who are looking for a space to sharpen their skills, strengthen their confidence, and deepen their clinical thinking. Her approach to supervision is relational, collaborative, and rooted in real-world experience across community mental health, private practice, and post-secondary education.

Cierra’s clinical background spans several evidence-based modalities, including Emotionally Focused Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and a wide range of trauma-informed and non-pathologizing approaches. Her work is strongly influenced by attachment theory, systems thinking, and the belief that meaningful change happens when people feel understood, supported, and empowered.

She works extensively with children, youth, families, and couples, often supporting individuals and systems during times of transition, conflict, or emotional overwhelm. Cierra is known for integrating creative, experiential, and land-based interventions into both psychotherapy and supervision. Depending on the needs of the person or team she is supporting, her work may include outdoor (eco) therapy, equine-assisted psychotherapy, cooking-based interventions, or other hands-on approaches that help people connect, regulate, and explore their experiences in a grounded way.

Whether she is supervising a new intern, consulting with an established practitioner, or supporting a family in crisis, Cierra’s priority is the same: creating a steady, thoughtful, and supportive environment where people can grow with confidence and clarity. Her supervision style encourages curiosity, reflective practice, ethical reasoning, and ongoing professional development, helping clinicians build strong, sustainable careers rooted in integrity and compassion.
